The tequila is flowing and tacos are sizzling as Greater Fort Lauderdale gears up for Cinco de Mayo. The holiday, which commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, falls on Monday, May 5—but celebrations will be in full swing all weekend long, from the coast and Las Olas Boulevard to spots further west.

Tequila enthusiasts are in for a treat with the return of the Margarita & Music Fest at YOLO’s courtyard. Beginning at 6 p.m., attendees can enjoy unlimited margaritas from favorite tequila brands, indulge in tacos, groove to live DJ sets and be serenaded by a mariachi band. As in previous years, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite margarita in the People’s Choice Margarita contest.
The Greater Fort Lauderdale event is expected to sell out, so purchase your tickets now. General admission presale tickets are $50. Añejo VIP tickets are $100 and include access to the VIP area, with food and premium tequila samples.
